Description
Honey Garlic Tofu is quickly marinated, baked until crispy, and tossed in a simple honey, garlic, and soy sauce before serving.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block of extra firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sriracha
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, grated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wrap tofu in a dish towel and place a heavy pan on top to squeeze out extra moisture for about 15 minutes.
- Using your hands, crumble and rip tofu into about ½ inch chunks.
- Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and stir to combine.
- Pour over tofu and toss to coat.
- Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, remove from the oven and use a spatula to toss gently, and return to the oven for 5-8 more minutes until crispy and browning around the edges.
- Combine sauce ingredients in a separate small bowl and stir well.
- Toss tofu with about half the sauce and serve immediately. Top with additional sauce as desired.
Notes
Store baked tofu and sauce separately.
Substitute honey for agave if vegan.
